FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SQL SERVER COMMUNITY HAS A
NEW ‘POWER TOOL’
WAITING FOR THEM IN MODELRIGHT’S LATEST RELEASE
Building on
ModelRight’s tradition of offering innovative database design support and user
interface design, the 3.0 release introduces several features designed to help
database administrators and others control their diagrams and manage their data
models.
·
A diagram
navigator provides a bird’s-eye view of a database diagram and enables
users to easily zoom, scroll and control their diagrams. The navigator tool is
especially useful for anyone who works with large diagrams.
·
Mode-less
database compare allows users to compare their models with their databases,
and the two will synchronize as updates take place to the model.
·
Increased
Modeling Capabilities with Alias Datatypes, Independent Defaults, Check
Constraint Domains, Model-level Pre and Post Scripts.
· Greater connectivity and support for databases that are open database connectivity (ODBC) compliant.
· Improved Database Support for Oracle 11, MySQL 6, SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008.
· Lots of new and improved features like customized Print Page, easier way to see and change the use of reusable objects (like Tablespaces, Filegroups, etc…), improved mouse wheel Diagram navigation.
“We put a lot of thought into the features our customers requested and what kind of features would be most useful for other database designers. 3.0 offers the most detailed, most complete support in the market right now,” said Timothy Guinther, ModelRight founder and veteran developer of database-design software.
